Dear Friend, It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Carolyn Kress
and her company Smooth Sale-ing.
Ms. Kress came into our lives at a challenging time. My brother and I had finally convinced
our parents of the need to leave their Florida home of nearly 20 years and move back to Pennsylvania to be near family.
And, since they were moving from a 3-bedroom home into an assisted living facility, they needed to do some significant
downsizing of furniture, kitchen supplies, lawn and garden equipment, and appliances. Enter Ms. Kress.
Ms. Kress provides one-stop shopping. Smooth-sale-ing handles
everything from cleaning out closets and drawers, advertising to attract customers, selling items on Craig’s List and
E-Bay, displaying and pricing all the items, calculating sales tax to pay to the state, arranging pick up from charity organizations
of the items that don’t sell, keeping track of all those items donated for income tax purposes, to cleaning up after
the sale. Ms. Kress even packed and shipped items to my home that I had chosen for sentimental reasons.
And her husband went the extra mile and packed the trunk of my parents’ car with everything they wanted to take
with them to their new home. In short, everything from A to Z.
Ms. Kress is honest and reliable. She can be trusted and is bonded
for extra security for the sellers. She is always on time, which is extremely helpful when you are trying
to accomplish many tasks in a short amount of time.
But it is her great people skills that really make Ms. Kress stand out.
She is unfailingly polite and unflappable, even in challenging situations. She has great empathy,
which is particularly important since her services are usually needed at extremely challenging and emotional times.
She never loses her cool and always manages to make you feel that everything is under control and there is no need
to worry.

January 30, 31, and February 1, Smooth Sale-ing conducted an estate sale for us in Brooksville, Florida. We couldn't have
been more pleased. Their advertising methods drew a much larger crowd than we expected, and this was a rural area. Carolyn
and Gary took charge and did a competent turnkey job. When they finished, the property was ready for the realtor to show.
Carolyn and Gary are talented sales people. They are both very hard working,knowledgeable, and pleasant with customers.
Both have many talents and Gary is excellent with equipment. They used multiple means of selling items. When necessary,
Carolyn researched collectibles and antiques to price them at current value.
Gary and Carolyn did more than we
expected. It was a pleasure working with them
and getting to know them and the entire Smooth Sale-ing group. Things were well organized and customers appeared to enjoy the sale.
